Gifts Area Families With More
This month, the Lend A Hand Up Team hosted its fourth annual Holiday Hand Up giving event. It was a packed house with nearly 100 beneficiaries, volunteers, family members, and ambassadors. An additional $1,200 was awarded to the 34 families who hosted benefits in the second half of 2023.
$42,000 was raised through Holiday Hand Up gifts and matching funds, which were pooled and distributed to all 34 participating families at a holiday gathering held on December 20th at Dakota Medical Foundation. Each family received a $1,200 holiday boost from Lend A Hand Up, along with gift cards provided by program angel ambassadors and uplifting messages created by area elementary students.

Lend A Hand Up is a 501c3 subsidiary nonprofit of the Dakota Medical Foundation that raises financial help for area families experiencing hardship due to a health issue or other qualifying traumatic event.
