Help kids see a brighter future!
For children, undiagnosed vision problems can delay development, stifle academic growth, and lead to permanent vision loss. That’s why early detection and treatment from an eye doctor is critical to prevent lazy eye, astigmatism, and cancer. Before the age of six, it’s recommended that children have three eye exams, and yet about half do not.
For many North Dakota families in need, a significant barrier to receiving vision care is cost or lack of insurance. That’s why the Optometric Foundation of North Dakota wants everyone to know about its Vision Start program. Vision Start provides free eye exams to North Dakota children in need ages 4-7.
