ARE YOU LEADING A FUNDRAISING EFFORT TO HELP SOMEONE IN CASS COUNTY, ND OR CLAY COUNTY, MN IMPACTED BY A MEDICAL CRISIS?
To qualify for up to $5,000 of matching funds and the use of online donation tools, an application must be submitted demonstrating:- Recipient of fundraising effort is experiencing financial hardship due to a current medical crisis (out-of-pocket medical expenses exceed $5,000).
- Recipient is current Cass County,ND/Clay County,MN resident (1 yr min.)
- Recipient authorizes the use of their photo and information summarizing the medical crisis for website, print and broadcast promotional efforts.
- Fundraising effort is supported and/or validated by a nonprofit organization (church, school, service club, medical association,etc;) located in Cass County, ND or Clay County, MN.
- Benefit fund for donation managment is in place at a bank/credit union with a volunteer serving as one of the authorized account signers, in addition to the recipient or a family member representing the recipient.
- Future fundraising activities are planned. Application should be submitted 30-60 days prior event/activities and before marketing efforts are underway.
- Lead volunteer has been designated to serve as a liaison to Lend A Hand.
- There is willingness to promote DMF Lend A Hand support (match funds and online tools) in partnership with planned fundraising activities.
Application deadline is the 15th day of each month for activities scheduled in a future month(s). Planning a successful fundraising effort generally takes a minimun of 4-6 weeks, more time is necessary if multiple activities and/or a large-scale community effort is planned. Volunteers are encouraged to apply early in the planning process to maximize the use of Lend A Hand planning, marketing, and fundraising resources.

Contributions to Lend A Hand are tax-deductible and matched by DMF up to a maximum of $5,000 per Individual/Family Fund. 100% of contributions and matching funds are distributed to the benefit fund recommended by the donor.
